This black hidden message wristband is our most discreet medical alert wristband. On the outside there's just a small white caduceus medical symbol, so first responders know to look inside. Your medical details are laser engraved on the inside of the band, where they stay private. Black comes in four sizes, from young children to large adult wrists.
Please note: the engraving is very subtle. There's no colour difference on the inside, so the lettering is black-on-black – the same colour as the band (see the photos). That keeps your details as private as possible, but it's harder to read than an engraving with a contrasting colour. If you'd prefer lettering that's clear and easy to read, choose our Confidential wristband instead: it's just as discreet on the outside, with crisp dark lettering on a white inside.
It's 100% silicone and latex-free: soft, comfortable and washable, so it's great for sport, school and work.
Engraving
Just tell us your wording in the text box. On this band, short wording works best: it fits on one line in larger text, which is much easier to read. Longer wording goes on two smaller lines, or a second position on the band.
As a guide:
- 152mm (6 inches) – one large line approx. 15 characters / spaces, or two smaller lines approx. 20 per line
- 180mm (7 inches) – one large line approx. 18 characters / spaces, or two smaller lines approx. 25 per line
- 202mm (8 inches) – one large line approx. 20 characters / spaces, or two smaller lines approx. 30 per line
- 228mm (9 inches) – one large line approx. 22 characters / spaces, or two smaller lines approx. 33 per line
We'll centre the text and use capital letters where you enter them. We can engrave other languages: type the text if it's on a standard keyboard, or for other scripts, email us a high-quality JPEG or PNG and we'll engrave it as an image. Size
This wristband comes in four sizes:
- Approx. 152mm (6 inches) – young children (about 6–7); fits a hand up to approx. 160mm (6.3 inches)
- Approx. 180mm (7 inches) – teenagers (about 8–13) or small adult wrists; fits a hand up to approx. 190mm (7.5 inches)
- Approx. 202mm (8 inches) – average adults (14+); fits a hand up to approx. 215mm (8.5 inches)
- Approx. 228mm (9 inches) – large adult wrists; fits a hand up to approx. 245mm (9.6 inches)
The band has to slide over your hand, so measure around the widest part of your hand, not your wrist. It stretches a little, but excessive pulling could make it snap.
Buy 2 or 3 and save
Choose a set of 2 or 3 identical wristbands: handy for a spare in the sports bag or school bag.
Care
Gently clean your wristband with water and dry it with a soft cloth. Silicone is a soft material, so it won't last as long as a metal bracelet. To make it last longer, avoid wearing it in bed or in the shower.
