How to Pick the Perfect Colour & Engraving for Your Silicone Wristband
Do you want to customise a medical wristband but aren’t sure what colours to choose?
In this blog, we’ll share some simple tips to help you create the perfect custom wristband just for you.
Choosing the Colour
Picking the right colour combination for your custom engraved wristband is easier than you might think.
We describe wristband colours in this order:
1. Outside colour – the part you’ll see most
2. Inside colour – the inner part of the band
For example, a “Black White” wristband has black on the outside and white on the inside.

All engraving is done on the outside of the wristband. Side 1 is the main visible side, but you can choose to engrave both sides if you like. Longer text will be split into two lines with slightly smaller letters for a neat finish.
Choosing the Engraving
All custom engravings are done on the outside of the band. While it is technically possible to engrave the inside, there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
-
- No colour contrast – engraving on the inside won’t show a colour difference. This can work if you want an ultra-discreet look.
- Band shaping – the wristband has a natural curve, and engraving the inside can make it look uneven or unnatural if worn inside out.
So for most users, we recommend keeping the engraving on the outside for best visibility and appearance.
